An experienced local guide will take you off the beaten track on a unique Tour du Mont Blanc that takes you through the Italian, Swiss and French Alps. Kicking off in the Italian Aosta Valley, the tour goes across the Italian and Swiss Ferret Valley and the Aiguille Rouges mountain range, you will finally arrive in the Chamonix Valley in France. No need to worry about carrying heavy loads as your luggage will be transferred from one accommodation to the next. Simply head out and enjoy your Tour du Mont Blanc through the fascinating Alpine scenery!
Day 1: Chamonix – Monte Bianco
Upon arrival at Chamonix train station at 4:30pm , you will be picked up and taken to the Italian Aosta Valley where you will meet your guide and spend the first night at Monte Bianco cottage. Enjoy an extraordinary view of the mythical mountain trails Brouillard, Innominata and Peuterey.
Day 2: Courmayeur – Lavachey
Day starts with a short tour of Courmayeur before an ascent to the Pré de la Saxe (2,000m/6,500ft) which boasts a great view of the Dent du Géant and the Grandes Jorasses. After lunch, continue towards the Italian Ferret Valley and Lavachey, where you will spend the night. Routes will be chosen depending on weather conditions and the guide's preferences.

Day 3: Ferret Valley
Leisurely ascent through the Italian Ferret Valley to the Pré de Bar glacier, followed by an ascent to the Grand Col Ferret (2,537m/8,323ft), the gateway to the Swiss Ferret Valley and the highest point of this tour. Close to Creux de la Chaudière, you will catch a glimpse of the Mont Dolent, marking the border between Italy, Switzerland and France. Overnight stay in Fouly (1,600m/5,250ft).

Day 4: Swiss Valais – Arpette Valley
Easy leg. Hike through the Swiss Valais and down picturesque villages to the Ferret Valley. Bear the day's only ascent to the Champex climate station(1473m/4,833ft). A well-earned break at the lake before heading down into the Arpette Valley for the night.

Day 5: Collet Portalo – Col de la Forclaz
Gentle descent through the forest followed by an ascent toward the mountain pastures of Bovine (1,987m/6,619ft) with view of the surrounding landscape. Ascent continues up the Collet Portalo (2049m/6,723ft) before heading down for an overnight stay in Col de la Forclaz (1526m/5,007ft).

Day6: Trient – Col de Balme – Chamonix Valley
Hike along the Bisse de Trient, a channel running through a mountain cliff. Climb to the Bergeries des Grands (2113m/6932ft) overlooking the Trient glacier. Hike through a cliff passage to Col de Balme (2191m/7,188ft) into the Chamonix Valley in France. Further descent to Tour to view the Glacier du Tour and the Aiguille Verte. Overnight stay in Tour at the foot of the glacier.

Day 7: Aiguilles Rouges – Chérérys – Chamonix
Climb up the stairway of the Aiguillette d'Argentière to the Aiguilles Rouges. Final lunch break at the Chésérys lakes (2133m/7,000ft). Last stretch through the beautiful landscapes opposite the Aiguille Verte and the Aiguille du Dru. The tour ends at Chamonix train station around 6pm.

Please note that you won't be spending the nights in hotel suits but simple yet comfortable mountain accommodations. Sheets and blankets are provided, you do not need to bring a sleeping bag.
Average daily hikes: 4.5 to 6 hours on mountain trails with several steep ascents and descents. Event thought the pace will be rather slow, allowing you to explore and enjoy the landscape, a good physical condition is required. Keep in mind that you will be walking for several hours every day.
Some stages may be abbreviated by taking public transportation (fares not included) or the luggage transfer vehicle (approx. €30 per transfer, payable on site).
