Follow this unique guided hike and discover Corsica from the mountains to the sea. On the way from Corte to the Gulf of Porto, you will experience the unspoilt nature of the island and swim in clear mountain lakes. On this hike, no two days are the same!
In the midst of wild Corsican nature, follow this route full of contrasts from Corte in the mountains to Porto on the Mediterranean Sea. Hike on former transhumance paths in Calacuccia, roam through the Restonica valley and bathe in the natural waterholes of Evisa and Spelunca, as well as in the sea of course. Along the way, you will also get to know the lesser-known regions of Corsica and marvel at its picturesque landscapes.
Day 1: From Ajaccio to Corte
Meeting at the Ajaccio train station at 3pm. Train to the former capital, Corte. Settle in and explore the city. Overnight stay in Corte
Day 2: Hike to the Scala di Santa Regina
Transfer to reach the start of the hike. The itinerary follows a former transhumance path, carved in a granite canyon above the Golo river and allowing the access to the highest villages of Corsica. Overnight stay in Calacuccia.
Day 3: From the Vergio mountain pass to Evisa
Follow the mythical GR20 to the sheepfolds in Radule before reaching the highest mountain pass on the island. The path descends to the village of Evisa through the magnificent Aitone forest. Enjoy a refreshing swim in its natural pools, the most famous on the island. Overnight stay in Evisa.
Day 4: From Evisa to Porto
Descent into the Speluncam gorges, a pink granite massif. The path crosses authentic Genoese bridges to reach the village of Ota before leading to the seaside village of Porto. Overnight stay in Porto.
Day 5: From Partinello to Porto
Transfer to the village of Partinello. Descent to the beautiful beach of Caspiu. The path follows the coastline along a wild and sporty itinerary offering impressive views and leading to the beach of Bussaglia. Overnight stay in Porto.
Day 6: From Porto to Piana
Alongside pebbled beaches, the path gradually rises above the deep blue gulf, allowing you to take in the superb views of the Scandola reserve, the Capu Ceninu and the calanques of Piana. Transfer to Ajaccio and end of the trip.

The tour starts and ends in Ajaccio.
Participants are asked to organize transport to and from Ajaccio themselves. You may extend your stay in Corsica if you wish.

Doable for all who exercise regularly. Participants should be in good physical condition. Walk also doable in summer thanks to the numerous bathing possibilities.
Average length of hikes: 5 to 5.5 hours per day (11 - 14 kilometres) on partly uneven and stony trails.
French, state-certified mountain guide who is a specialist for the region. The travel language is French.
