The hotel is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Sainte-Marie-de-Ré. Guests can choose between a modern apartment or a private rooms, which are divided into family rooms and double rooms. Each is insulated with eco-friendly materials to keep the rooms pleasant during warm days. The owners paid particular attention to have the estate emit as small a carbon footprint as possible during its construction. The hotel is not far from the sea, you can reach it with a bicycle, but if you prefer to stay at the hotel, you are invited to use the hotel's own heated pool with a cosy sun terrace. The colourful apartments are about 10 minutes walk from the beach, but still have a heated swimming pool with a sunny terrace, as well as outdoor games for children. You can easily explore the island with bicycles for hire on site. All rooms and apartments are colourful and cheerfully designed and have access to a private terrace with a view of the garden or pool. You can choose between a guest room or an apartment. Each is equipped with free Wi-Fi and a TV. Unfortunately, these rooms are not suitable for persons with reduced mobility.
The guest rooms are 18m2 in size and consist of a double bed. Some come with a sofa bed for additional persons.
The apartments are 28m2 in size and consist of a bedroom and living room. Sleeping options include a double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed. There is a small kitchenette.

The island is about 28 kilometres long and lies off the coast of La Rochelle and north of the neighbouring island Ile d'Olérons. Oyster and shellfish farming makes up a large part of the economy. Be sure to try the island's fresh seafood and fish, for there is plenty of it.
You can rent bicycles directly at the hotel, with which you can easily go to the beach. It is also worth exploring the island and its nature. You will pass several picturesque villages with small harbours. In La Couarde, you can visit La Maline, an intermunicipal cultural centre where theatre, concerts, films and dance are regularly performed. Outside the villages, you will also find some special geographies, such as the salt marshes, the wide sand dunes and the mud flats. Outdoor activities include swimming and snorkelling. But do not forget little pleasures such as building sand castles on the beach.
Ile de Ré is not very big, so the journey there is quite easy. Even biking to your hotel from La Rochelle on the mainland is possible. From La Rochelle, you can cross the bridge by bus or car or take a boat to the island.
