Enjoy an eco-friendly holiday in a horse-drawn caravan at the heart of the Ardennes, a hilly region in the north of France. Corinne's caravan is drawn not by one but by two strong horses! As an expert of the region, she will take you off the beaten track, on small country roads and show you some unique places...
Weekly rental only!
1st day : Arrival on Sunday
Arrival on Sunday afternoon. Take your time to settle in, while children may horseride through the countryside. First night in the caravan.
The route will be determined once on site with your guide Corinne according to your wishes, weather conditions...
2nd to 6th day : Cruising through the Ardennes
In the morning, around 9am or 9.30am at the latest, start of the tour along small country roads. The caravan is driven by Corinne, your guide, who chose the stages according to the climatic conditions to guarantee a safe journey. A short training session is provided on the first day so that one of the family members can take on the role of co-driver during the trip. Everyone will have a part to play in preparing the horses and the bivouac.
The stages are about 12 - 15 kms long (2 - 3 hours) which leaves time to set up the bivouac and the sanitary equipment when there is none (solar showers, dry toilets). Discover the region thanks to interesting stopovers: former horse post office relay of the Paris-Sedan stagecoach line, livestock farms, forest edges...
Throughout the tour, Corinne will explain and introduce you to the history of her region, and will help you organise the bivouac and the mobile sanitary facilities.
