1st day : Arrival on Sunday

Arrival on Sunday afternoon. Take your time to settle in, while children may horseride through the countryside. First night in the caravan.

The route will be determined once on site with your guide Corinne according to your wishes, weather conditions...

2nd to 6th day : Cruising through the Ardennes

In the morning, around 9am or 9.30am at the latest, start of the tour along small country roads. The caravan is driven by Corinne, your guide, who chose the stages according to the climatic conditions to guarantee a safe journey. A short training session is provided on the first day so that one of the family members can take on the role of co-driver during the trip. Everyone will have a part to play in preparing the horses and the bivouac.

The stages are about 12 - 15 kms long (2 - 3 hours) which leaves time to set up the bivouac and the sanitary equipment when there is none (solar showers, dry toilets). Discover the region thanks to interesting stopovers: former horse post office relay of the Paris-Sedan stagecoach line, livestock farms, forest edges...

Throughout the tour, Corinne will explain and introduce you to the history of her region, and will help you organise the bivouac and the mobile sanitary facilities.

Day 7 : Departure

Your Gypsy caravanning trip ends on Saturday. Say farewell to your horse and caravan and have a safe trip home!

Caravanning spirit

Your caravanning trip is all about travelling light, basic comfort and shared sanitary facilities (and occasionally dealing with mosquitoes) – but also a unique holiday experience with horses and an escape from everyday life. Cruise through unspoiled landscapes, on paved roads but also in plain nature, without internet access. Take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to let go and reconnect with yourself and your family!

Discover the simple yet delicious self-made regional cuisine, purchasing local produce and specialties and enjoying them by the campfire with locals, fellow travellers and a glass of regional wine.

The route

You will be accompanied by a guide during the whole trip to drive the caravan and to help with the unhitching and the care of the two draft horses.

A deposit of 350 € is required before taking possession of the caravan and will be returned if no damage is caused.
