Cycle through impressive landscapes and some of the prettiest medieval towns France has to offer, including Villefranche de Rouergue and Najac. The unique cultural programme includes mediaeval bastides, abbeys, churches and a route that takes you through the Lot valley and past the gorges of Aveyron.
The medieval towns on the tour have been very much perserved. Guests travelling by car can leave them at a free parking space for the 9 days and luggage will be transferred for you as you embark on relatively easy legs.
Day 1: Arrival in Najac
Participants meet at the hotel in Najac and will receive their rental bikes. They will have dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel offers them free parking during the entirety of the tour.
Day 2: Najac - Villefranche-de-Rouergue
After breakfast, participants cycle to Villefranche-de-Rouergue. It will be a day filled with sightseeing, the day ends with dinner at a restaurant in the city center.

Day 3: Villefranche-de-Rouergue - Cajarc
After breakfast, participants will make their way to Cajarc via Saujac. They will discover the Lot valley and the rock faces of Saut de la Mounine for a magnicifient view of the river Lot.
Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star hotel, where they will enjoy a seasonal menu.

Day 4: Cajarc - Loze
Today, participants head towards the limestone plateau of Limogne to see its surrounding natural attractions.
Dinner and overnight stay at a B&B.
Distance covered: 57km
Day 5: Loze - St Antonin Noble Val
Participants cycle to Saint Antonin Noble Val, passing the Pétrifiante fountain and the castles of Saint Projet and Cas.
Participants will have dinner and spend the night at a B&B St Antonin Noble Val.
Distance covered: 45km
Day 6: The gorges of Aveyron
Finally, participants will see the gorges of the Aveyron, along with pretty villages such as Penne and Bruniquel if time permits.
Dinner and overnight stay in the same accommodation as the previous night.
Distance covered: 44km
Day 7: St Antonin Noble Val - Cordes sur Ciel
Participants enjoy a convenient cycle on the veloroute (route for cyclists) on their way to Cordes sur Ciel via Laguépie. They will visit Beaulieu Abbey if time permits.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel-restaurant in the historical part of Cordes.

Day 8: Cordes-sur-Ciel - Najac
Cordes-sur-Ciel is lovely, that is why participants may opt to stay there for the day and take a train back to Najac to save time (fare costs between €1-6).
Dinner and accommodation at the same hotel in Najac from Day 1.

Day 9: End of trip - Najac
Participants return their bikes after breakfast.

There are no fixed departure dates for this tour, however, they depend on availability in the lodgings.
Our cycling tour begins and ends in Najac, easily accessible by regional train or car. Free parking during your bike tour.
Participants are asked to arrange transport to and from Najac by themselves and extend their stay in Najac if they wish (not included in price).

The owners of the family-run accommodations are happy to share their knowledge about the region, the cycling routes and the regional cuisine. The sumptuous breakfast includes homemade jam and is prepared from fresh produce. Typical regional cuisine is served in the evenings. You can also have your lunch picnics prepared by the hosts for a small surcharge.
This cycling tour is suitable also for beginners and intermediaries through the use of an e-bike. The routes do climb at times but none are insurmountable. Thanks to the short average stage length of 43km, you can enjoy the landscape without straining yourself. In order to find your way, you will receive a detailed route guide (in English) and maps of the surroundings in our App.
We recommend an eco-friendly train to Najac via Toulouse.
