Day 1: Arrival in Paris
Meet our English speaking tour guide at your hotel in Paris’ city centre and enjoy a relaxing first evening with your fellow travellers at a cozy vegetarian restaurant, run by women in Paris' 17th arrondissement!
Day 2: Parisian artists
After breakfast, head out to the Quartier de Ménilmontant to visit a museum dedicated to the great singer Édith Piaf. In the afternoon, meet with contemporary female artists, learning about their work and their passion for art. Enjoy your evening off, dining at one of Paris' many outstanding restaurants or exploring the city's exciting nightlife.
Day 3: Parisian pioneers
A morning visit at the ancient, yet recently renovated, Institut du radium in Paris' famous quartier latin will allow you to discover the legacy of the brilliant scientist Marie Curie. After lunch, meet with the director of the Fondation Bismarck, named after Mona Bismarck. Philanthropist and art lover, the countess willed her mansion and most of her belongings to the foundation dedicated to the French American friendship. Afterward, enjoy a convivial dinner at another excellent women-owned restaurant.
Day 4: Past day Paris
Round off your trip by visiting one of the city's most beautiful markets as well as a famous city residence. Owned by Madame Hamelin, a dear friend of Joséphine de Beauharnais', the mansion used to serve as a salon, frequented by 18th century artists and writers. Alternatively, retrace the footsteps of George Sand and learn about 19th century romanticism in France's capital. The tour ends at around 1pm.
